Advancing MS Research and Care: A Mission of Over Four Decades

Stichting MS Research is the leading organization in the Netherlands dedicated to funding and promoting scientific research on multiple sclerosis (MS). In addition, the foundation provides education about MS and advocates for optimal care for everyone affected by the disease. Since its establishment in 1980, Stichting MS Research has invested over €68 million in scientific research, supporting approximately 375 studies focused on understanding the causes, finding solutions, and improving treatments for MS. These efforts have led to significant breakthroughs and made a substantial contribution to the quality and continuity of MS research in the Netherlands. The foundation also provides structural financial support to academic MS centers specializing in care and research.

MS is, quite literally, a nerve-wracking disease, primarily affecting young people in the prime of their lives. It is the most disabling condition among young adults and, unfortunately, remains incurable. This disease of the brain and spinal cord causes a wide range of symptoms, including muscle weakness, extreme fatigue, vision and speech impairments, as well as memory and concentration problems.

A Modern Identity
Rooted in Accessibility and Innovation

With a refreshed logo and an entirely new visual identity, we helped Stichting MS Research bridge four decades of history. The updated branding reflects a modern approach, highlighting advancements in knowledge about the brain's myelin made possible by cutting-edge technology. Equally important was considering the needs of their audience, many of whom suffer from vision impairments caused by MS. The result is a calm, accessible, and user-friendly design, both in layout and typography, ensuring an optimal experience for all users.
